Students in Ghana

Dear Friends,

In our last blog we included some pictures of young people that you have helped get an education. Here are some
others with their stories and pictures. They were sent to us
by Francis Wama who is our liaison and angel in Ho, Ghana
who helps distribute and account for the money that you have so generously sent. As you can see, there are some
mighty great youth that you have helped better their lives by providing money for their education. We and they are
so grateful for your help. If you can continue to help we would appreciate your continued support. 

The following entry is an email from Francis:

Dear Sister Cosgrave,
We are doing very well. There has being a little pressure due to the beginning of the academic year but everything is smooth now. Your report should be ready by next week. Eric eventually got admission at Wallas Academy and offering Visual Arts.  Prince is preparing to write his Basic External Exams next year Bright Dzato also preparing to also write his SHS External exams and many more.

Eric Tsawota

ERIC TSAWOTA

Eric is born to Dziku Lawrence and Josephine Yaovi who are now deceased. He is the third child and 18 years of age.
Due to the death of his parents, it became very difficult for him to continue his education. Around this time, the only
possible thing for him is to go on to the street and take care of himself but we came in to help pay for his fees,
uniforms books and others to enable him continue with his schooling. He will forever be grateful for this support that
will enable him to to reach his goal of becoming a Mechanic Engineer. He promised to go and serve Full Time Mission
after his Senior High School. 

He is currently enrolled in Wallas Academy Senior High School. He is reading Visual Arts as a course. He is very
active with Church activities and is always happy for the privileges around him to also progress.

Prince Tsawota

PRINCE TSAWOTA
Prince is 15 years of age and a junior brother to Eric. He has same story as Eric. He is very smart and likes sports

a lot. He is also very active in church activities and hopes to serve full time mission after he is done with his SHS.
He will forever be grateful for this assistance that will enable him to continue with his education.

Prince Gafah

PRINCE GAFAH 

Prince Gafah is currently serving a full time mission in Nigeria Enugu Mission. He is 19 years and the elders child of
 his parents. He lost his father few years ago and family members of his father would not allow his mother to continue
to occupy his father's apartment. Together with her three children, his mother moved on to the streets not knowing
where to go because her immediate family members were not in the same town. A family friend gave her a wooden
 structure which she occupied with her three children. She tried very hard to do something on her own to feed her
children because there was no help. She started preparing and selling a local food called "Kenkey" and stew.
She carries this on her head every morning selling. With this little sales, she can only feed the children and herself
but not enough to take care of all the three children in school. 

We came in and started supporting Prince till he finished his Senior High School in Kpando Senior High Technical
School. He studied Building and Construction Course for which he intends to continue with after his missionary service.
 He likes making friend and sports of different kinds.

ABIGAIL GAFAH

Abigail has same story as Prince. She is a junior sister to Prince Gafah and among the three children who were forced out of their father's apartment. With our support of paying her school fees and other expenses, she has now completed Kpedze Senior High School where she studied business course. She is 19 years old and also preparing to serve a full time mission. She helps her mother to sell Kenkey And also got a job to give care to children between the ages of 6 months to 4 years at Prince Ebeneezer International School.  She is very grateful for the support we gave her to finish her SHS school.

FOSTER GAFAH

Foster is the third child and with same story as Prince and Abigail. He is 15 years and he just got admission to read Building and Construction course at Sokode Senior High Technical School near HO in the Volta Region of Ghana.  He is also very active with church activities and hopes to serve a full time mission as well. 

They will forever be grateful for this privilege and life changing experience. These children now have hope towards future. They now have confidence and strength to become the best among Heavenly father's children. This is possible because we came to their aid at the time they are so dependent on their parents but their parents can do very little. There are many more who are still dependent on their relatives who can only do small to help them. They become frustrated and helpless and lose hope. They become very unhappy and depressed seeing their age mates progressing because they have that privilege to get support. Thank you President and Sister Cosgrave for your vision and love for these little children.

Thank you once again for your contributions to these children for their education. As you can see these sweet young people are precious in the sight of our our Heavenly Father. We love them dearly and are so proud of their desire to make their lives better by attending school. They all take school very seriously and are good students and good people. They are so grateful for your help.
